The orchards have been bringing in a limited harvest due to losses from the late spring freeze that wiped out 80% of Palisade's crop this past April. Add some more info about this item...
We currently expect to open for the 2020 Palisade peach season around the dates of July 29th-31st.
Limited amounts of peaches have started trickling out of Palisade, CO over the past couple of weeks, with a few even making their way to Fort Collins... We're still awaiting the larger mid-season crop that is sufficient to supply our roadside stand with 100% Colorado-grown Palisade peaches.
We are waiting to open until genuine Colorado Palisade peaches arrive, as we carry exclusively Colorado-grown produce. Palisade Peaches Returning to Fort Collins this Summer
Add some more info about this item...
We've been speaking with our various growers and distribution partners. Here's what we're hearing from them so far, and it's good news...
Yes, despite the unprecedented freeze in April of 2020, there will almost certainly be Palisade peaches available in Fort Collins this year as usual. Several of our growers still expect to harvest a partial crop this summer. Fresh peaches are expected to arrive towards the end of July, and yes, they will be from Palisade, CO!
We expect to be fully-stocked the majority of the time, although due to high demand and low supply, there may be the possibility of occasional gaps in availability this summer. It's possible that prices may be somewhat higher, but only if the orchards charge us more. Our markup will remain the same as previous years.
We do expect to offer home delivery of Palisade peaches in Fort Collins once again this year via our exclusive delivery partner NoCo Nosh. We also expect to offer online ordering for same-day local pickup during the season.
Due to the shortage, we unfortunately don't expect to be shipping peaches nationwide this year, but will resume next season. Due to the short supply this year, we're not able to accept any pre-orders before the season starts in late-July.
We'll have more info to share as the first harvest approaches in late-July!
